NLYC Holiday Party Update

Hello Everyone,

Looking forward to seeing you at the NLYC Holiday Party this coming Sunday, December 11.  Kathy and I will be hosting.  Please bring an appetizer or dessert to pass.

Please make sure to register online so I have an idea of how many members to expect.

We also will be partnering with Lake Country Cares.  They are in need of personal hygiene products or a cash donation as they are 100% voluntary and need as much help as possible this Season.  We will have a box to fill up near the front entrance.

Looking forward to toasting in the Holidays with all of you!!!

Chuck McChesney | Vice Commodore

Membership Renewal Open – Payable by January 31, 2023

Greetings North Lake Yacht Club Members!  The time has come to renew your membership for next year.  Like last year, renewal will be completed online with payment of dues by credit card. The online renewal process has multiple benefits including reduction in manual accounting, ability to pay online and it allows you to update your contact information to ensure accuracy.  Accurate contact information allows us to communicate with you more efficiently through email, and it gives you access to the Member Directory online.  There is one new membership category this year called Couples Membership (one or both members under 65 with no dependent children).  All other categories remain the same and the pricing is unchanged.

As an active member you have the opportunity to participate in social and sailing functions; have the right to vote and hold office; and have access to the NLYC boat launch, in accordance with the village of Merton conditional use permit.

Dues are payable by January 31, 2023.  A late fee will be imposed starting February 1st., so take the time to renew now. Annual membership expires March 31, 2023 if not renewed by that date.  It is important to renew by the due date to ensure your current contact information is included in the Club’s printed log.

The process for new membership has changed for 2023.  If you have new neighbors who are interested in joining, please ask that they send an email to to request more information.  Thank you!

North Lake Sailing School

Know anyone interested in learning how to sail? North Lake Sailing School teaches sailing to kids ages 5 – 16 as well as Adults. Students do not need any previous experience and can start for the first time at any age within that range. In fact, they do not need to live on the lake either! Grandchildren, cousins, friends are all welcome to register.

Sailing school is a great way for the kids to enjoy the daily pleasures of lake living. We offer summer long lessons, one week camps, and one-day a week learn-to-sail classes for those kids involved in a number of other summer activities.

Sailing school is scheduled to begin the week of June 13th and online registration is open March 1st. Click on the link below to find out more about our class offerings:
